Shuki Kato’s Origami Collection
Here’s a beautiful origami collection by Shuki Kato. Origami from ori meaning “folding”, and kami meaning “paper”, kami changes to gami due to rendaku) is the traditional Japanese art of paper folding. Just looking at this colorful origami makes me reminisce my elementary days.

Here are some reason why your children needs to learn origami.
- It develops motor skill and it is a great hand exercise and enhance hand eye coordination.
- It simplifies mathematical concept like symmetry, measurement and fraction.
- It develops patience . The repetitive process of folding is somehow boring thus your children can learn the value of patience and perseverance until she was able to make it into a whole. Seeing her work can make her feel that she has achieved something on her own.
Always remember that education is a continuous process, it takes a lot of patience and perseverance to be able to master one art. Good parenting method comes into handy.

What do you think will happen to a room when you give a thousand stickers to a thousand kids?
Artist Yayoi Kusama constructed a large domestic environment, painting every wall and household decoration a brilliant white, effectively serving as a giant white canvas. Within the period of two weeks thousands of children were made available to put dots of stickers filling all the room with colorful dots.

Thinking of how the children had their fun time putting all the dots made me want to try it too.
Just imagine your room filled with this colorful dots. I wonder how my babies would react on this?
